In Response To: DMP 4th roll decision (Chuck Bower)

I can't find a rollout for your interesting fourth roll position even for money, but it seems to me that there are four plays worth mentioning (for money or at DMP):

S (Split, 24/18 13/11)
$ (Slot, 13/5)
Z (reverse split, 24/22 13/7)
D (Down, 13/11 13/7)

Those plays are listed in my order of preference at DMP.

This looks like a good time to run to the 18pt, especially since the other 6 will leave a 1 or 3 shot anyway (even though it is less risky than usual to slot now that White already has an advanced anchor). White is looking to make a point while unstacking her 6pt, and 24/18 deflects that aim. So, I'll pick S.

With all aces except 51 duplicated, $ makes a lot of sense to me, too.

D duplicates all 3s except 32, but the duplication is less strong.

Z duplicates 3s really well, but the 22pt looks like the wrong point on which to position the back checker. White's only stipped offensive point is the 9pt, and if she chooses to break it to make a better point, Black's 6s will then be duped.

Nack
