Or maybe don't record your matches at all

"That is why I intend to record my moves if I ever enter a tournament, even if it causes me to play worse, because I'm more interested in studying the game afterwards than I am in maximizing my winning chances."
IMHO, I find the the whole obsession with match recording to be a bit unnecessary. Do I appreciate getting a match record from live play? Sure. Am I willing to go through the time and effort and disruption to do it myself - no way. And in general, I think it is a waste of everyone else's time and focus too, unless you are retired and transcribing match videos provides a good way to fill your day. I do believe that there is journalistic value in recording key matches for articles, public consumption, historical value, etc. But not for personal use.
Play online. Play strong competition. Play seriously. All of your games are perfectly recorded. Everything can be analyzed and studied. You don't need to show up at a live event to get a record of your play against other people. You pay good money to travel and enter. It is a sport and there's practice and there's game time. There, your focus should absolutely be on winning. You work hard to improve so that you can be at your best at those times. Don't waste the moment.
