No Rollout

No rollout because we all know it's a huge ND. If anyone is interested in the size of the ND (what % of ppl need to drop to make it a correct cube) they can look, I really don't care. This was a GG match and someone I've played semi frequently. He's not known to be a dropper but in positions like this against unknown or weaker players I ask myself "am I TG"? Clearly not, so I cubed.
Everyone seems grossed out by the position if the person takes whereas I was not. Yes, they take you'd have much preferred they drop but the position can still go really right and even when it goes wrong and your opp. enters quickly there's a lot a lot a lot of play left in this position with you owning the golden point and your opponent having 6 men back and two stripped points. By the time he enters you should have at least made a new point or two. (midpoint and perhaps an offensive blocking/landing point on your side of the board)
Timothy said: Since the position isn't "textbook" or "standard" in any usual sense of the term, you must be referring to some "standard" rule like, "If you're not sure it's a take then it's a double." You must have figured there was a decent chance your opponent would drop. Perhaps your opponent did drop and you're using this as another opportunity to give your (standard?) explanation of why your cube error rate is so deep in donkeyland.
I wasn't using this as an excuse of why my cube ER was so high in Iancho's matches, didn't even cross my mind, good thought though. I was also using nothing but dripping sarcasm referring to this as 'textbook' and 'standard'.

So my post was worth it, now you've seen one donkey big enough to post when he doesn't get away with it. My opponent took and we played the game to conclusion and I won. I have the match file to prove what a fish I am and that he took, as if anyone questions the former.

Much the same strategy the hookers tell me MCG employs ... my turn? All in! Best $29 I ever spent he mutters to himself while counting out the singles.
Neil said: No way do I want my opp having the leverage of holding a 4 cube in a 7 pt match here.
I assume you're coming from a theoretical and not technical standpoint. In other words, you're assuming you're (I'm) playing a weaker player because you (I) rock and you hate elevating the cube in this position and hate life when they take. From a technical standpoint their recube leverage where this person GNU is nothing special.
