Any tips to improve cube handling in matches?

If I was playing only ExtremeGammon as Jim is doing the gap between checker play and cube play would be greatly narrowed.

Just to clarify that most of my games are imported from playing on backgammon sites very few as a percentage are against ExtremeGammon itself.
