By the way, the position below (taken from Walter Trice's final article on Gammon Village before his untimely demise) is one reason I think that Brown's chances in the Permabox position are pretty good if he escapes a checker. According to Trice, Blue has a double in the position below, and after the sequence "no double, 52R, miss" Blue is too good.

But perhaps Snowie (which Trice used) is wrong here?
