Cubeful equities: how to derive from cubeless?

Hi NJ,

I'm most grateful for your very knowledgable, detailed and technical assistance. I'm finding it extremely helpful, so thanks for taking the trouble.

Some questions:

1. In early contact positions, is x always 6.8?
2. I'm assuming W = (Win + Gammon + BG)/Win and L = -(Opp Win + Opp Gammon + Opp BG)/Opp Win?

GNU does something roughly equivalent, which is to calculate nodouble, double/take, and double/pass as 3 different equities and then picks the correct one.

Can you explain how GNU does this in a little more detail?
