Tim Chow recently had some posts about making use of the view statistics option in gnubg where the breakdown of types of wins and at what levels is given. That could be useful here. After no double if there are extremely few single losses on a 1 cube for white then hardly anything could be lost by doubling immediately. And it does seem that a double is almost sure to come soon if not given now.
