For those of you who have read my aritcle "Dinner with Kit" I want to relate a short, associated story. Before writing it, I shared Kit's ideas with four of the best players in the world to see what they thought of Kit's ideas. None of the four thought Kit's ideas were wrong or bad, but a couple of them poo-poo'd the importance of the ideas because, naturally, they've known these concepts in one form or another for some time.

But that's my point. They might have known these ideas but I've never heard them. And I've never heard them expressed so well. One of those 4 people responded, quite honestly, "Gee, I didn't know that" to one of the ideas.

And the feedback I have received from us non WC players and even some WC players is that the kind of tips and approaches to thinking and insights that people like Kit Woolsey are willing to share with us are extremely helpful to us over the board.

We take it for granted that the earth revolves around the sun, but it's an important concept to know and keep in mind as you go through life. WC players may take it for granted that you don't always double at 2away/1away post Crawford, but it's an important concept for the rest of us to understand when we're at the table.
