It is not obvious to me that passes come earlier at this match score than for money. A large part of the doubler's advantage is the gammons and they could be killed with a double to 8. Of course you wouldn't autocube to 8, but note that the win % is not so bad so the taker is not far from a good cube to 8.

I think JOH is in fact needed.
