You can't concede the match if you haven't won it by reaching the posted match length. I fail to see how winning 1 point at 2-away 2-away allows anyone to concede the match. The concession is invalid. Sure, if nobody notices, it is a done deal, but the players have in fact finished the game undoubled - they have simply made an error in scoring; they have not finished the match.

Lets say this intervention unfolded in a more universally acceptable manner and the kibitzer had immediately brought the situation to the attention of the director instead of the players. What should the director have done? Would he say "the players shook hands and the match is over"? Or would the director ask the players (and potentially the spectators) if the cube had ever been turned? I'd think it is the director's responsibility to ask the players what really happened and require the match to be continued if in fact the players agree the cube had never been turned. And given this, I think it is reasonable for the kibitzer to raise the question to the players themselves (while not stating an opinion), while the evidence of the playing board and cube position is still clearly in place, and the players have not yet left the table. There is quite simply no harm here. The players will either agree that the cube was in fact turned/not turned, or they will call the director to help resolve the dispute. And in that case, if the facts cannot be clearly determined, I'd expect the initial concession to weigh heavily in the director's decision.

Yes, kibs should almost always keep their mouth shut during play, but I see absolutely no harm caused by this particular intervention. And clearly both players were in agreement.
