I definitely pass for money. The condition of Blue's board (ace point made instead of 6pt, which has to be remade) is the final straw.

I would also pass this position at -7-7, but it is less clear to me at such match scores for the reason that UBK gave: "A large part of the doubler's advantage is the gammons and they could be killed with a double to 8."

Number crunching (to adjust for exact stratification) may help to an extent, but IMHO applying a little logic goes a long way, and this take/pass decision is mostly about correctly assessing the value of the position in the first place.
