Computer rebooting

Neil,

Microsoft had an unscheduled patch go out last week (1/27) that may have caused your computer to reboot.

You should check:

Control Panel > Windows Update > Change Settings

If the setting is "Install updates Automatically" your computer will reboot on some updates. The 1/27 update needed a reboot.

I keep mine set at "Download updates but let me choose whether to install them" so I am told abut updates but the computer will not reboot until I tell it to.
