I still have a much better board, so I am going to play aggressively with b/20 13/10 instead of wimping out. I don't think b/22 13/8 is nearly as good, even though it adds some minimal duplication, because if White makes the bar that checker on the 22 could have a hard time escaping.

What's interesting is that many players will make a loose play like b/20 13/10 if they can find some duplication in it, but if they can't, they'll dismiss it as too risky. Reality is that duplication is a pretty minor consideration.
