Sorry, perhaps you're being kind (I say that without knowing what move was actually played) but I don't see this as QF. 10/3* looks like the obvious play.

Assuming that 13/7 13/12 is the main alternative, the swing gained by Brown hitting (10/3*) if Yellow rolls 66 55 65 64 62 61 51 is huge, and on 63 53 (which hits a second checker either way) he's better off anyway because he keeps the midpoint.

The main loss from 10/3* seems to come on the other 3s (excluding 33) and 11 and some dilliness on medium numbers like 54 42 41. But I can't see these numbers near-compensating for those in the previous paragraph.

I can see how someone might flounder if they don't put any thought into the move, but I guess what I'm saying is: just take a quick look at the swing rolls and 10/3* jumps off the page.
