I wonder if the odds change based upon the limited time left in the half. After all, one component of your equity is that even when you fail to convert, you give the other team bad field position. With less than 2 minutes remaining in the half, there may be no payoff from that positional advantage. This remains true even though in the actual game the Saints managed to get the ball back and kick a FG.

Of course, the converse is that there is a very low chance, lower than usual, that the opposing team will use their extra possession to score when you give it to them inside their own 5-yard line with less than 2 minutes to play. So maybe these considerations balance out.
