Let's see, "I'm a friend of PJT, so I couldn't bring myself to publicize this dirt I have on him, but instead I'll send it all to the proprietor of one of the most trafficked backgammon forums, with the proviso that he can only characterize my evidence but never ever share it"? Does not pass the test of common sense, sorry.
I should have used "friendly with" instead of "friend of" perhaps but I thought the distinction did not need to be made. I'd say I'm friends with a lot of ppl in the bg world but what I really mean is we're friendly. People don't want their names used so when they come face to face with the accused it isn't awkward. They hang out in the same circle of people, they've known him for years. Do you know how many people I had email me about Andy Bell when that shitstorm blew through town and how many of them also would not state anything publicly? What was their hidden agenda? You saw on the forums the only person who came out as himself was Iancho -- the countless others that contacted me did have a hidden agenda, they didn't want to get involved.
When we had bot cheating long ago in the FIBS chouette, the folks who caught onto it were extremely transparent about the sources and methods they used to detect the cheating, the case was proven conclusively as a result, and the matter was put to rest....
That's a problem you have here. You have someone already taking the blame and shouting proudly that it's him him him (Alex Lehman) and that PJT is completely innocent. There's also a clear difference between a FIBS chouette and online money bg servers.
Why don't you try pressuring some of the people involved, you know who conducted the investigation into P65, they all read these forums in fact. I don't have the energy or desire to convince ppl at this point. I've been convinced - if you want convinced and you can't take my word for it you should go hunting.
