3. systemic errors are more likely to occur at low ply. Positions diverge as ply increases.

In my (unscientific) observation, the largest errors bots make in evaluation of absolute equity occur later in the game. Positions near the beginning are pretty accurate. If this also applies to errors in play (and I think it would) then the largest errors in play happen later in the game too.

Maybe this is countered by the fact that diverging positions tend to cancel out errors. But maybe it's not.

In fact, maybe it's not a good idea to restrict the study to 10 plies. There could be a significant amount of systematic error past 10 plies.
