Tough DMP play

Obviously 11/5*.

Then 4 choices for the 4. Leave the 5 point slotted with 20,9 or 4, or double hit with 1*.

There are 20 return hits on the 5 pt vs 11 on the 1 point. Only the 8/4 play does not add additional shots, but of the 3, that play seems to trade safety for the fewest chances to do anything constructive if missed. 13/9 and 24/20 both offer up lots of additional hits. Of these plays, 24/20 seems strongest because it creates the possibility of anchoring on the 20 point when things go bad, and is clearly best when white throws a brick.

But overall, facing a 4 point white homeboard vs blue's 2, it seems that there is too much to be lost by being hit here, and there is too much of a chance of being on the roof next turn with any play other than the double hit. With 11 checkers in the zone, there seem to be decent chances to make more homeboard points and follow up and keep white busy in order to escape the back checkers.

5*1*
