I agree with most that the GT2 clock is the best overall choice for tournament match play.
But my every-day, always available clock is my iPhone Chess Clock app made by Trileet. It cost something like $2.99 and is the easiest to read of any clock I've tried, and also the easiest to program and use. When you are done, or need to suspend play to resume another time, just close the app and stick it back in your pocket.
The only things the GT2 has over the iPhone clock is that it has really good plungers (which is a huge advantage in my opinion) rather than a touch screen, and the display is vertical rather than flat on the table. The large GT2 is an advantage as it can usually sit conveniently on top of the board frame, while the iPhone pretty much needs to sit further away flat on the table. Of course, you're not going to stick the GT2 in your pocket when you're done, and it may not always fit comfortably inside all boards. Sure you can also preprogram the GT2 for several different settings, but the iPhone clock is so incredibly easy to change settings, that it is quite possibly faster to reprogram the iPhone clock than to choose a preset setting on the GT2.
Of course, none of this matters if you don't have an iPhone.
