Initial Approach
For the position above I could see immediately that as white has two checkers on -5 and four checkers on -4 the count for the home board (ignoring obviously the checkers on the n0) was -14. Likewise I could see that outside the home board white has 4 checkers on the n3 point and two on the n1 point for a positive count of 14. This gave me a count of 0 and therefore a traditional count of 90.
Would other Naccel counters have done the same and does Nack have any comments on whether this sort of practice is to be encouraged or discouraged ?
Other Approach
Looking at this again I can see that if you can move the two checkers on -5 back to the n0 and two checkers on -1 back to n0 for a count of -2. You can move all 4 checkers on n3 to n0 for a count of +2. That then leaves a poof with the two checkers each on n-1 and n+1. Count of 0
