Right, you can certainly copyright a particular presentation of factual information. If I Xerox a trig table from a textbook and pass it out to hundreds of students, I've probably violated a copyright even though everything in the table is just a mathematical fact. But your copyright doesn't stop me from independently generating a trig table of my own, even though they're both going to look pretty much the same in the end.
