Interesting problem and comments. For me its between 8/3* and 6/4, 6/3*. I have a slight preference for 8/3*. I'm not yet committed to a back/holding game. My game plan would be to build up my home board, THEN run from the 22 (so with 52 I would play 8/3*, 6/4) with the back/holding game in reserve. Blue could easily have a problem getting all his checkers out safely. I also dont like giving up the midpoint yet which is valuable for outfield control and linkage.
