None. I have experience in reading about the well liked Norm Wiggins spilling a drink - at a backgammon tournament being conducted in a bar! - and getting involved in a nightmare incident that resulted in 40 posts here. Because of clocks. Or the CruelRay-Russell incident that resulted in two different temper tantrums described here. A serious incident only because of clocks. Or about 15 other, uh, anomalies described here that were worth mentioning only because of clocks.
As to player strength mentioned by Zurich: when a match occurs which produces 2 or 3 out-of-the-book games(both sides 5 or 6 men back, broken inner board points etc), the strong player obviously gets a compounded advantage from clocks. His ability to form a coherent plan, opposite an opponent who has to improvise, places the improvising opponent in two kinds of jeopardy if clocks are involved.
Clock advocates consistently refuse to consider the down side - the feelings which result from inequitable forfeitures, and the expanded opportunity for ridiculous arguments and continued animosity that are produced by clock negligence, which negligence has nothing to do with actual speed of play.
