Wow, Mike! What patience. I doubt there is any rule, or rule change, that SOMEBODY won't object to. The difference is whether the objector continues to argue every chance he gets that no matter what the problem is, it's because of that one thing he doesn't like.
I like to play my matches on the computer, and I happen to think that almost every problem we have is caused because we are playing on real boards with real dice. If only everyone would play on a computer, there would be no more problems. No cocked dice disputes, no fast rolling, no illegal moves, no score disputes, no cubes given at Crawford, no arguments about if there was a cube or not, ...we could even have built-in clocks so no problems there either.
However, every time someone bring up any one of these problems, my response is not, "the problem is that you are playing on a board," which would be akin to the response Lenny gives every time to virtually every problem...that's it's because of the clocks.
We are all forgetting the main reason we are having problems, it's because we have people. Eliminate the people and you won't have any problems.
