I have same objection as Neil and also one other:

If everyone buys back, close to half the field will qualify for the playoffs. So 15 rounds of matches to eliminate only half the field! Someone at 3-0 could be on equal footing as someone at 3-4 overall because at this point all previous results are thrown out and it is now single elimination. So much time already used up so matches can not have a large length. For determining the winner it is a very luckbox format. It would be like if the NHL continued there more than half qualify system but then had best of 1 instead of best of 7 playoff matchups.

I'll play because I won a discount, it was run fine last year, and the hospitality is good, but I don't care much for the format.
