Is gamesmanship always a bad thing?

Well I think some psychological fog is o.k. as long as you don't cross a (pretty fuzzy) border.

When your 20 points back in a race and hesitate *short* and mumble something like *mh... i'm not sure but I guess I'll better let em go" is o.k. to me. Meditating for 2 minutes just to annoy your oppoenent is way off.

I had sometimes a player as opponent who talked consistently. If it is his play or mine didn't make a difference, and always tolds me things like because I throw the dice a few tenth of a second to early he could let me roll again and similar things. Things that are unusual in a friendly game. Most of his opponents were off balance soon (me too) and I guess this has system and isn'z unintentional. IMHO this is unacceptable, but a little desinfirmation here and there is o.k.
