Hit or consolidate?

I'd definitely hit, so I'm assuming that's wrong. Five is a lot of blots, but the number of actual shots isn't too high, nor does getting hit look all that crushing at this stage.

The other side of the argument is to go ahead and let White make his 2pt this early in the game; he'll struggle to improve with those checkers so deep and three others back. Also, hitting gives him a chance to make a double anchor.

In spite of that, the hit still seems right to me. I don't want outfield points, I want inner points, and if he doesn't respond immediately, he could be in a lot of trouble.
