One factor that negates that advantage is the stronger player that qualifies twice and does not get a bye is forced to play himself in the first post-qualifying round. Obviously he would have more equity if his entries were randomly drawn. Due to this, no player will have more than one entry live after the first post-qualifying round. It seems fair to me.
