OTB I just couldn't decide between hitting and leaving 20 shots but plucking a checker and hitting and leaving 19 shots but not bearing off. I felt both were better than 20 shots and not hitting since I send Howard back further from home by hitting and since the chances to lose the game by repeating a shot are tiny at best. Finally I left 19 shots and Howard roll 53 and I'd have had no escape from that no matter my play. I danced 6 times on the 5 pt board and was quite happy they gave out a 2nd place prize in the quicky event.
