I probably wouldn't have looked deeply enough to play 16/7 OTB, figuring it could be right by a little or wrong by a lot, but I think it's probably right by a little.

The upside to slotting the bar point is obvious; if Blue can make it next turn it makes coming home a lot easier. What's not as obvious is that it's not all that risky. White probably shouldn't be hitting with 41 42 and possibly 46. 44 is a great roll for White no matter what Blue does. That leaves 43 and 45, and Blue has a ton of return shots after White hits with either of those.
