Tables to Improve Your Game

I mentioned this recently, but for those who missed it, here's a related table I calculated last year, which tells you how many spare pips you can expect to burn before you hop the prime. Not quite the same as "expected number of rolls," but I find that it's closer to what I actually want to know in practice.
For example, say you have closed out your opponent and you have some spare pips to burn while you try to escape your back checker with a 1 and then a 6. Knowing only that it will take you 6 rolls on average, you might reason that you need 48 pips to have an even chance of escaping before you burn all your spare pips. In fact, 30 pips is enough to give you even odds of escaping. Part of the reason is that your non-escaping rolls are less likely to contain 6's.
