Director ruling

In Response To: Director ruling (Chiva Tafazzoli)

The ridiculousness of suggesting a fine for the loser of a director's ruling is orders of magnitude sillier than the original dispute that was discussed in my initial post.

The reason I post this and other rulings is in the hope that, on the off chance that the game of backgammon might actually grow and attract a few people under the age of fifty so that Stick and MCG will have somebody to play against ten years down the road, the rules might be improved and clarified and that maybe some future director, who knows, maybe even somebody who forms a new club in some area that doesn't have one and doesn't have any directing experience, might be able to benefit from either an improved set of rules that might arise out of these types of discussion or just from hearing how similar disputes were ruled on in the past.
