In search of a new term

While I think backgammon should be taught mainly as a match game when introducing it in educational environments, I agree a new term is needed to identify money-reference positions. In a match, the ultimate goal is to win a limited number of points before your opponent does. In a money game, the ultimate goal is usually to win as many points as possible, without restriction. So no-limit could be used, but that still sounds like gambling because of no-limit poker. Here are a few suggestions: unlimited; outright; unrestricted; limitless.
