The term I would use is "meaningless" game. The ugly truth is nonmatch backgammon is meant to be a gambling game. All around the world, it is a gambling game. What is the significance of a gammon or backgammon if no money is involved? What is the significance of the cube if no money is involved? Why would anyone pass if nothing is at stake. It would be like playing poker for nothing. At least encourage the little tykes to play for baseball cards or something similar. Once they reach adolescence and enter junior high or high school, then they can maybe play for their favorite drugs.
