Maximum Turbo Boost Frequencies (single core): 3.2GHz (i7-920XM), 3.06GHz (i7-820QM), 2.8GHz (i7-720QM) is what I have seen online so it may be just a single core that can get all that turbo boost.

Intel Desk top i7's accomplish turbo boost by having the multiplier go up one..ie for the baseline i7-920, it is 2.66 GHz non turbo and ~ 2.8 Ghz turbo (21 x 133 clock speed).

I am much less familiar with laptop processorts.

A decent way to get an approximate idea for the laptop would be to RO the opening 21 slot 1296 times 3 ply normal for money and compare times. I suspect the laptop will take more than 10 minutes and that turbo isn't giving all cores a 75% boost.
