I guess it depends on how much it bothers you to lose against the computer. It doesn't bother me at all as long as I'm learning, so I play on the hardest level that runs at a reasonable speed on my medium-slow laptop, which is XG+. All the top levels are very strong, so it shouldn't matter much which you play against. For analysis and rollouts there's always a trade off between speed and accuracy, and we all have personal thresholds for how long we're willing to wait for results. I use the "World Class" setting for analysis, which tends to take from five to ten minutes for a 5- or 7-point match, then I roll out individual positions if it's not obvious to me why the bot's choice was better than mine.

I normally play in Competition mode, since it gives no help, then go back and review at the conclusion of the game or match, but Tutor mode is also helpful, since it pops up with immediate feedback.
