I remember there was some debate about the Holland rule before it was abolished, many disliked it. Obviously, you felt that it gave too much advantage to the player that reached match point and that the Crawford Rule is sufficient compensation. Do you find it fair that the player that reaches match point first fights for his points, often winning one point here, two points there, and an occasional four points or higher to reach Crawford and the trailer gets maximum efficiency on his cubes after the Crawford game, winning a minimum of two on every game? I would think the Holland Rule would favor the better players. I don't miss it but I did not dislike it. Where I did find the Holland Rule slightly harsh was when the trailer was three-away, Crawford. Other than that, it seemed fair.
