I could not agree more: I wish I knew when it is right to split/run the back checkers in these type of positions.

Staying back looks wimpy, but even so I do not split, not just cecause splitting into 11 checkers looks too dangerous, but also because White can still improve his offense with 13/8.

Looking forward to others' analysis.
