1) I'd have made the over-the-board play (13/7(2) 22/10), though I guess leaving the checker on the 1pt can lead to some awkwardness on some sequences with repeating 4s and 5s. Maybe it's best to come out and leave blots on 18, 16, and 15. Not sure.

2) I didn't like the OTB play. Trying to time a backgame from behind a five prime is too optimistic for me. I'd have played 13/10*/5, dividing White's forces and hoping to counterprime. Maybe Falafel was trying to manipulate the upcoming cube decision in some way that's beyond my understanding.

3) This is really tough to judge. Blue may already have lost his market for all I know. Perhaps Falafel knew this and was trying to provoke a play-on with his move in position 2. I may be way off base, but I see big trouble down the road for Blue trying to hop that five prime. I'd drop, but I think a lot of players would take this (perhaps they are right and I am wrong), so I'd cube as White.
