These types of positions are very tough to judge, but I would be surprised if Blue must pass after either 13/10*/5 or 13/8/5. In addition to the backgame possibility, there's still a chance of leaping a checker or two over the five-prime and playing a deuce-point game. If it were a 1-2 backgame instead of a 2-3 backgame then I think Blue would be in a lot more trouble.

Falafel's play is very committal (the deuce-point game option is not really viable if a couple more checkers get sent back) but you can still count me among the players who would take it.
