Nackgammon Opening Rolls

Does anyone know why we're not playing more Nackgammon at tournaments? If I had my way, all Masters tournaments would be Nackgammon instead of backgammon...why not have a higher test of skill for the better players willing to play for higher stakes?
If we did that at every tournament, we could even compile a separate ranking systems for Nackgammon players, and by the way, I think it would encourage more people to enter the Masters. It would no longer be just more backgammon matches over a weekend filled with backgammon matches...it would be something different and interesting and challenging.
Nackgammon, or any variant with more checkers back, is more challenging than backgammon. To me, that also makes it more interesting and skill-rewarding and desirable, and therefore I'd be more enthusiastic about playing and attending tournaments, though I doubt that's true for all experts.
Given the currently limited size of the backgammon population (at least in the U.S.), I think it would be dangerous to switch over a mainstream event like a Masters or Superjackpot to Nackgammon (at least not without a clear majority support). However, as an ambassador / head honcho of the USBGF, you may have opportunities to encourage a Nackgammon side event in more tournaments than currently have one; that would be great to see. :)
