I still see the change of colour for visited links in both Firefox and IE. Which browser are you using?

I know you said you haven;t knowlingly changed anything, but it's worth looking at the settings.

On IE, check Tools/Internet Options/Colours. I'm still on IE 6. Newer versions may be different.

On Firefox check Tools/Options/Content/Colour.
