When coming home against the combination of an advanced anchor and a deep blot, it's often right to use your first awkward roll to attack the blot and force it forward. However, I'm not sure this quite qualifies as an awkward roll. The bar point has quite a lot of value here, as a landing pad for Black's midpoint checkers and as a staging area for builders, and it may not be easy to remake. Giving this point up, and offering up 7 shots in the process seems like a large concession just to get the trailing blot out of your hair. Besides, the alternatives are sound plays, bringing a midpoint checker down safely, which is Black's main near-term challenge. I don't think 7/1* 2/1 is the right idea. Black can always hit loose there if he has to, at not too much more risk.
13/6 looks better to me than 13/7 8/7. It brings a checker inside, fortifies the 6pt, and avoids stacking checkers on the bar, which Black will have a tendency to do anyway in bringing checkers down.
