What Should the Better Player Do?

If the rollout result is accurate, that splitting beats slotting by 0.001 in a God-vs-God (Stick-vs-Stick) game, then the better player should slot, hoping for a more complicated game, giving the weaker player more chances to screw it up.

As has been noted here before, at least 90% of backgammon players are stronger than their opponent at a given moment, so 90% of the time this situation comes up, slotting should be the play.
