I echo Christian's surprise. Perhaps one way to look at is that by concentrating on the priming play, you are forcing the game toward where you have leapfrogged ahead in development.
32: 13/12 13/11 is a priming play. We are often admonished against playing catch-up, and by playing 22: 13/11(2) and 6/4(2) you are pushing your opponent to do so.
