I'd play 8/7 8/6 as well, because it puts checkers in good positions, traps White with single 3s, and does not leave jokers. Best to trap early here, I think.

I don't know whether I'd trust bot rollouts from here - would be interesting to compare bot results, it would not surprise me if some bots do a lot better than others in this particular case.
