Middle game cube action

Here's the position after a couple of average looking rolls - 53 (13-8, 10-7*) & 51 (b-24, 13-8). What is the cube action here and what does that tell us about the cube action one turn earlier?

This position looks like ND / T to me and by extension the original does as well. If average sequences lead to doubling regret, the killer sequences are not going to be enough to justify the double.
