I played this out a few times, and it was not pretty. One of the difficulties is that one you enter, the 21-anchor is really stacked, so you need to jump checkers into the outfield. If you survive that, things generally become OK... But it is quite a minefield to jump into! It is not clear to me when the cost of jumping out in the middle of nowhere become too much and it becomes right to play up-front. Blond often does not get to make a lot of decisions, but the decisions are difficult... and black has simple plays (hop the prime, hit anything hittable).
