I guess you need to decide if 'hopelessness' is just plain winning chances or your expected loss in points. If it is just winning chances, then #2 is the most hopeless and #3 is the least hopeless. If it is expected loss in points then #1 is the most hopeless and #2 is the least hopeless.

I mainly disageed with the assessment of the original position that Brown has crashed or collapsed already.
