I don't know about the exact example you gave, but my experience is that Daily Gammon acts "smart" in the type of position you describe. That is, if you click on a lower point it uses the high die to bear the checker off, but if you then click on a higher point it will take the checker off even if the remaining die is not large enough to do so (assuming the large die is sufficient to do so). So it swaps the dice for you. That's my recollection anyway, though it may depend on whether there is contact. Can't test it since you can't set up positions at Daily Gammon.
